Annoying OR2 "feature"
So, has anyone hacked a speed bypass for OR2?
I live on a mountain top in MD. My driveway, according to my motorcycle Garmin, is 1501' elevation. I can look from my front porch at the valley, less than 400' elevation. Direct line of sight, and LOTS of wind and snow drifting.
What nearly got me stuck last night? I had a drift across my driveway at the top that was HUGE. Couple at the bottom that were...there, but not monsters (my drive is about 1/8 mile). Waited for it to raise to OR2 before I started up the drive. Did fine until the big one at the top - I accelerated to "ramming speed" and would have been fine....except apparently I exceeded the allowable speed for OR2 and it started dropping. And dragging the chassis. And digging in because the wheels were "floating". This drift was hard-packed, too - I had to use my XJ today to loosen the snow, because my snowblower wouldn't dig through it. Once the XJ drove through it and cracked it up, the blower could chew it up and spit it out...but it was HARD snow.
It was deep enough that even in OR2, the snow was breaking OVER the hood like a wave over the bow of a small boat. The auto wipers were having a blast. And did I mention this was at 03:00, after a 22 hour day - day job, plus my side job doing pro audio for a band? LOONG day.
So, if anyone knows a way to increase the "max allowable speed" for OR2, I'd love to know what that is.
