I too have started using Mahle filters. Interesting that it is specifically for the Jeep and not compatible with the Ram. I do wish MANN would release something. Had them for the Mercedes 3.0L, and could be had for $8 USD per filter.

Re: Any aftermarket oil filters yet?

I am using one of the Korean brand filters after 3 factory filters. This filter appears to be the same filter as the Chinese brands. 1/2 way through my oil life will pull the filter and post results. About the same cost as I used to pay for Mann filters for my BMWs. Would be nice is Mann produced this to foster competition...

It had something to do with the oil flow back in the filter housing. The way the o ring is on the neck of the filter doesn't sit down far enough and its not fully filtering.

Have a look at Mann HU7018Z. Fits WK2 Diesel.

That's awesome. Looks like it has the universal neck too.

Re: Any aftermarket oil filters yet?

27 bucks and have to buy a 10 pack with shipping.
Guess I will wait for smaller quantities to arrive by other seller like Amazon...
