Any changes to 2016 EcoDiesel

Anyone aware of changes to the 2016 EcoDiesel, will they have fixed the issues experienced by 2014/2015 model year?

Re: Any changes to 2016 EcoDiesel

Thanks, was curious if there is anyone on this forum who is deep into Jeep engineering and knows whether there are any improvements on the 2016 diesel planned, ie, redesigned EGR valve, retuned ECU, etc. to solve the combustion issues.

Have a 2014 which I'm ditching, have to decide what vehicle next!

Thanks!

Why a shortened model year?

Re: Any changes to 2016 EcoDiesel

I believe the fix for the combustion issues is the new style cyl heads. I think the 15's are already using them if I'm not mistaken. No other planned changes I've heard. A 300bhp/500 ft-lbs version would be nice!

Re: Any changes to 2016 EcoDiesel

"EcoDiesel has the same fuel economy ratings as the 2015 models, but the 2016 models have received some changes that you cannot see – but you should be able to feel. The engineers have adjusted the fuel delivery system for improved combustion (although they don’t clarify whether or not that improves tailpipe emissions, since it doesn’t improve MPGs) and more importantly, they have adjusted the throttle controls for an improved driving experience."

Re: Any changes to 2016 EcoDiesel

Anyone know why there is a shortened production year? Was that information accurate? Any word on changes for 2017?
