Re: Any way to block the EGR?

Sorry to bring up an old thread but I am just about to take delivery of my export model and despise all the emission control and have removed it out of all my cars. It's no good for long engine life in my opinion.

Being it has been a while now, does anybody know if you can block the EGR without throwing codes on ECU or do I have to wait till get my car tuned?

Worse case I might try making some plates up and drill and hole in them starting at 1/8", working my way up until no codes and see if that works

You'll definitely need a tune before blocking off. Here are some very nice plates: JEEP RAM Ecodiesel EGR Block Off Plates | CB Engineering

Good Luck....Post on your progress if you have a chance.

Yeh I have seen the CB stuff but getting them to Aus is very expensive and not worth it. They aren't hard to make but I have spoken to a tuner today and he has said definitely will throw codes so will leave it until I get a 1000km or so on the car.
