Re: Anybody want to go half?

When I decided to do my own oil changes I purchased a 24 qt box of Penzoil 5W30 Euro L from The Oil Hub. I thought I was purchasing 24 individual qt bottles but it was a 24 qt bladder of oil. Turned out that it wasn't a hassle at all, i.e. easy to use and not messy. The price, with shipping was around $9.50/qt.

I used the last of it at the 30k oil change. Decided to check with the dealer on the price per qt and was pleasantly surprised that I could get the branded Penzoil product for $8.25/qt. Will be doing my 40k oil change this weekend. Decided also to go ahead and replace fuel filters as well.

Re: Anybody want to go half?

to put the drum in perspective. I am having a kid in November. I decided to buy all the diapers I would need in a year up front.... ~2k or so. how many years would a 55g drum last lol?

Re: Anybody want to go half?

First kid for you?

How did you decide what sizes of diapers to buy? How did you know what brand would be a good fit for your kid (diff shape kids work with diff brands)? Sorry, father of 2 boys ages 3 and 1 - so just curious.

Re: Anybody want to go half?

Went with Huggies pure and natural, and if I made some wrong calculations then there’s always eBay! . And since our little girl will be riding in a jeep I feel this is absolutely relevant to the site and thread... lol.

Went to a bunch of site that talked about average use of diapers a day, growth rate, and some other factors. So I am guessing but I played on the conservative side using the minimums. If she grows faster or slower we will adjust as appropriate. So if she needs more of any one size I can just go buy it. And if she outgrows some. Well then the local diaper give away place will get a donation.

Re: Anybody want to go half?

Awesome - I know we are getting side tracked. But when she outgrows that baby bucket, check out the Radian - rear facing - with angel adjuster. Best rear facing convertible seat setup I could figure out in my '14.

Sorta depends on the kid, and what their "thruput" rate is.
I swear mine could go thru a 55g drum of diapers in a day or two.

Good luck with the kid, and congrats.
