Are they going to go ahead with a buy back or offer me a replacement?

My SRT has been in the shop now for well over 30 days and is still not fixed.

My problems started with 250 miles on it. It now has 2,560 miles and has been in the shop five times, six if you count me having to bring it back to have the exhaust bolt reinstalled that fell out after one of the repairs.

This has been by far the worst new car experience I've ever had. I'm hopeful that Chrysler does the right thing here and offers me a resolution and not just another attempt to repair it.

BTW this has been my fourth jeep purchase in 3 years. I have owned three flawless Jeep Wrangler rubicons before this SRT. I've even restored a 46' Willys Jeep. I am a huge Jeep fan. They need to make this right.

Wow - that sucks. I understand they're limited by your state's laws for the procedure they have to follow. Washington seems to be one of the best in that regard.

Re: Anyone have a successful buy back?

Sc32valve Im not sure how lemon law works in NY or if you've got replacement
or money back yet.

I wanted to maybe give you a little light at the end of the tunnel, i'm here in San Diego California and went though arbitration with Toyota which is pretty much lemon law here in California. I had 2 Toyota Trucks within 2 years of each
other with identical issues, dealer couldn't solve it so I filed arbitration against and won. I had people tell me I was wasting my time on the forums, but I gave it try and was shocked to have won, I think having the second vehicle with identical problem is what help me win.

So long story short you don't know till you try, just be sure what you want a replacement or money back, Oh I got a full refund and bought my 2015 Jeep GC Altitude and have enjoyed it with no major issues.

I wish you the best of luck, and please let me know how it all turns out if it hasn't already

Re: Anyone have a successful buy back?

I mailed my final attempt to repair letter today. They have 5 days to respond. I'm supposed to hear back from the Jeep Resolution Team this Friday to see if they are going to replace my SRT. Tomorrow will be the 40th day my SRT has been in for repairs. It's ridiculous. I'll update as soon as I hear more. I don't have a good feeling things are going to go my way, but we'll see.

Good luck man. I was down the lemon law road years ago. It wasn't bad, Ford couldn't fix my PU, some weird electrical problem. It took a lot of fightin, but I wouldn't back down. It took close to a year from start to finish but I had patience and another ride. They paid for all my mods too, because they became part of the truck, I pocketed some nice coin, and got a new PU a model year newer. Once the i's were dotted and t's crossed it took the same time to get as any other vehicle that was ordered. About 6-8 weeks. Hang in there!-Rockydee

Re: Anyone have a successful buy back?

Good news! Got a call tonight from Jeep Resolution. They're going to go ahead and replace my SRT! I should be getting a call in 6-10 days from another person to work out the details. I'm just ecstatic and yes I asked her if this was an April fools day prank.

Re: Anyone have a successful buy back?

Question - when you asked to have your SRT replaced, did you have to leave it with the dealer for a couple of days for someone from jeep to come and inspect it?

My SRT was already at the dealership under going it's 5th attempt at being repaired. I believe the repair attempts would have continued had I not mail my lemon law/ last repair attempt letter. The day they received my letter the left messages on my office and cell phones. When I called them back something amazing happened. A live person answered the phone. No going through all the prompts and having to leave a message. Just a polite lady saying "Hello Mr. Boening, I have good news for you".

My SRT is still at the dealership. To my knowledge as of yesterday morning they were going to try putting in a new rear diff assembly and axle shafts. I'll probably call today just to see if it fixed the problem, but mentally I've moved on.

Yep. I think my frustration overload with the issue of unreliability has made me fall out of love with the car. That's a damn shame - it's a great car - but it just doesn't give me the warm fuzzy anymore.

I should be all said and done with mine next week. It's taking longer than I hoped, but it's still reasonable, all things considered.

Re: Anyone have a successful buy back?

I suffer from automotive ADD, so the logical (?) next step is getting a 2015 Chevy SS with a stick shift.

That's one of the vehicle a test drove before getting my SRT. It was an automatic though and didn't have the magnetic ride control either. The dealer was going to give me a screaming deal on it too. Very nice car, but in typical GM fashion they kill off the model just as they get it close to perfect. Just like the 96 Impala SS. Enjoy the new ride, I have a feeling it will be trouble free for you.

Re: Anyone have a successful buy back?

So, I sent all my info ISG Impartial services group requested last Friday. Now today I get a voice mail from another ISG employee asking for the same information again and leaves me a voice mail with her extension, so I call it and it's the voicemail box of some other ISG Employee stating she'll be out of the office until Monday March 2??? Huh March 2??? Let's see... today is APRIL 7 does she mean March 2, 2016 or did I just go too a mailbox of forgotten souls. This is going to be a pain in the you know what.
