ARB on-board air NA Diesel

mounted ARB Air-compressor under the hood of NA Diesel
tight fit but no rubbing or interference if positioned just right
you will need to fabricate custom bracket since nothing aftermarket available
I kept rocker switch close to compressor and only supply power to compressor when in use
will post pictures of mounting fabricated mounting bracket

That looks really good! I'm a little curious why isn't it hard wired with a switch by the pump, but I've never used an on board compressor before. With that compressor, how long does it take to air up your tires say from 10psi to 36psi?

Re: ARB on-board air NA Diesel

Good points
Not sure of the time it takes to air up since when you want air in your tire off roading, time is secondary, having air is heaven
That is also part of the reason why I did not hard wire the system
In my other Jeeps, hard wiring was essential, lockers need air activation "now"
With on board air not needed to activate lockers, compressed air is used to inflate things and is not required instantaneously

The switch was located under hood due to multiple considerations.
Jeep did not provide practical options within cabin.
the switch location is function over form. Since this is an "on demand" mod why run wires through firewall? Put the switch where you need it. The ARB harness required less splicing in this particular circumstance.
Not hard wiring eliminates possibility of drawing current and killing battery when not in use (which is most of the time)

ARB is considered one the the premier off road air compressors. If you are going to mount one, ARB is hard to beat
