I only saw information on the older Mercedes diesel for the last JGC Diesel. Are we still waiting for them to release the new one? If not, I am missing it on their page.

They are working on it. I think it's still in beta, but here are some early results:

Thanks. If anyone in the forum has an idea on timeline for release, I would appreciate it. Looking forward to doing something soon.

Clearly there are a couple of GDE connected guys on here posing as big fans instead of interested Jeep owners - so I'm sure we'll here updates here.

Here is the latest.

Tuning your EcoDiesel (timeframe)

FAQ on current results: Green Diesel Engineering (interesting thing to note is GDE did not spend it's effort on increasing max power but driveability - early users are reporting 3-4 mpg increase along with more power).

It is almost ready if you are in the US as they will do an ECU swap with you. However, I'm going to wait til the programmer is ready which could take a while (it is a third party device company).

I'm also not connected with GDE and was a former customer of theirs when I had an '07 WK CRD. But will prefer a full functional tune that is made for not only the fuel system, but also takes into account the downstream emissions and other quirks with the Ecodiesel. It's more than worth the wait for me as I'm enjoying my ride.

Thanks. If you hear more about the ECU swap or programmer, please let me know. I would appreciate it. I am looking forward to less turbo lag, more power, and the MPG improvement puts icing on the cake!

One downer consideration: if an ECU removal/shipment/bench flash at GDE/shipment back is required, bear in mind this will very likely have to be done each time there is a new RRT/TSB that involves an update to the ECU.

Good thing those never happen (*cough*mostrecentonewasjustlastweekforthe2014s*co ugh*).

Thanks Roadkill. What was the newest TSB? I am taking my 2014 for an oil change this week and want to make sure I get it (if needed). Thanks!

wk2jeeps.com TSBs is the informed owner's go-to source.

In this particular case, TSB 18-023-15a was released as an RRT (i.e. listed as RRT 14-107). TSBs are generally applied only if the owner complains about the specific issue cited, whereas RRTs are applied by default.

This is an RRT, applicable only to 2014 NA EcoDiesels, because some of the fixes included in it or one of the previous versions are intended to arrest the SCR damage that has been leading to P20EE codes. Normally you can tell what is new in a given release by reading the changelog lines that have asterisks prepended/appended.

These firmware updates are "roll ups", so they include everything listed. That is to say, you don't need to have all the previous TSB firmware updates applied sequentially because the latest version includes all the previous fixes as well.

It certainly looks like the issues covered in this latest RRT are good to have addressed. I had a P204F once before.

The GDE hot tune lowers the DEF dosing which is what all the TSB's are doing as well. Unfortunately for us early 14 owners they didn't start lowering the dosing soon enough and many of us have had the catalyst replaced. I've also had the DEF injector replaced.

Keith from green diesel is on the Garage now and he will correct me is I'm wrong. The DEF regens are spaced out longer too.

If you think you can use that, good luck. If you want to start modding your truck, you are your own warranty station. If you play you pay, period.
