Billet Silver or maximum steel?

New to the forum but I am super excited to order my new 2014 diesel! Decided to go with the limited but I'm having a hard time deciding between the billet silver or the maximum steel. I do want to go with the lighter color interior but i'm unsure if the billet silver looks fine with the lighter interior. What do you guys think?

Re: Billet Silver or maximum steel?

Welcome to Jeep Garage!

Both are great but very different. Check the colors out in person if you haven't yet, and try to see them in different lighting conditions. Are you considering Granite or is that out? It is in between Billet and Maximum Steel. I have a LOT of pictures in my thread (link is in my signature) taken in various lighting conditions if you are interested.

Re: Billet Silver or maximum steel?

I actually looked at your photos today but the granite just has too much brown in it for me the issue with not going with the black interior is that the center plastic pieces where the gear shift is looks kinda gold but in the lighter interior it looks more silver.

I got maximum steel, it is really a greyish-blue color, really beautiful. My interior is the light frosty brown.

Couldn't be happier with the color combination.

What color interior did you guys go with? I think the Billet will look sharp once the windows get tinted.

i like my maximum steel overland with the light interior. Its a nice contrast and looks blueish metallic most of the time

Re: Billet Silver or maximum steel?

If i didnt get a Black Trailhawk.. I'd do a Granite GC.. except i hate chrome... yet wanted the 5.7... so.. 2013 Trailhawk was my only option. ;-)

Almost mine.. 2013 Brilliant Black Trailhawk

Re: Billet Silver or maximum steel?

I went with the Granite and Black interior. The light frost interior is just too light for me.....and It would show the dirt too much. If I would have got the Overland then I would have gone with Granite and Indigo interior. I couldn't justify the extra 4-5K when the Limited, with the Diesel, ORAII and the LUXII group have all that I want.

Re: Billet Silver or maximum steel?

I vote for Maximum Steel. If we get a 2014 thats what we're getting.

I don't know why but I just don't like the Billet Silver. It almost has too much metallic flake, the flake looks uneven and splotchy to me.
