Cat Converter Part Number

I have a 2014 GC Summit Diesel and it now needs a new Cat converter.

Can someone tell me what the Chrysler Part No. is for a MY2015 Cat converter that really solves the issues?

Thanks

Hi, Do you know for certain that is the MY2015 version of the cat?
Cheers

Re: Cat Converter Part Number

I know this is the most recent version that is replacing the original ones for those of us having issues with the Emissions in our 2014s. Mine was installed last Wednesday. I asked if there were any newer changes prior to install, as mine had been on backorder for 3 weeks and then sat in the shop for 4 weeks while the dealership was working on replacing my entire fuel system, minus the tank.

I couldn't imagine why it would be different in a 2015, but I am not positive.

Hi,
When they changed your Cat, did they also change other things like injectors and sensors? If so, what where they and what are the part nos.
Thanks

Re: Cat Converter Part Number

They changed the injector, I am not sure of the part number but will check my paperwork and get back with you.

Just got our Jeep back, two days ago, same part number 68243268AB

Don't know if it's the same as the original, or if it's a new and redesigned 'for improved skittle farts'.

Re: Cat Converter Part Number

justinyancey,
If you could check on those other part numbers that would be really great.
Along with the Cat, I believe there are 1 or 2 sensors and an injector.
I have to take my GC into the dealer tomorrow and I need some ammo to deal with him.
Many thanks

The injector is part number 68232842AB, no sensors were replaced that I can tell.

Re: Cat Converter Part Number

Took my Jeep in today and the mechanic told me they would replace my catalytic converter. He went to order one and it was in stock locally, they'll have it tomorrow. He also said they redesigned it a couple of times. I am scheduled to drop my SFU on the 27th and they'll have it for at least two days. Hope this solves that issue. They will also drain the DEF tank and refill it. The mechanic suggested I always let the DEF run as low as I am comfortable with and don't top off the refill, go to 2/3 or 3/4 full. I didn't have to argue or insist on the catalytic converter, they offered it as this was the second time the check engine light came on in a month. The service writer got the mechanic to give his opinion right away. Got to love my dealer!
