The SCR is. It's the tub located downstream of the DPF and has an injector in-front of it.

Almost. The injector is just behind it. The catalyst in diesels is different than gas-powered engines. It is used mainly to remove NOx by catalyzing bonds between ammonia (which is created by the injected DEF, breaking down at high temperature) and the NOx to create nitrogen and water. Modern CSR catalysts are also coated with oxidizing catalysts that take care of carbon mono oxide and hydrocarbons, but I'm not sure what is the exact SCR type we have in our EcoDiesel.

Its actually ahead (upstream) of the Catalytic Converter. There is a Y pipe with an offset bend that connects the DPF to the CAT. The injector is in the other branch of the Y. It is behind the passenger front wheel well and is very vulnerable to breakage from road debris, rocks, even deep water. The skid plates on our Jeeps, even ORA2 equipped, don't protect the injector and wiring. An aftermarket plate is available to accomplish this.
