CEL Code P04DB "Crankcase ventilation disconnected"

I'm checking to see if anyone else is have this code from the check engine light (CEL). I have been getting the code P04DB "Crankcase ventilation disconnected" It’s still runs well and I'm not having any other symptoms however, I did have P2002 "DPF efficiency running below threshold” one time with the P04DB. Every time I get it back from the dealer the CEL comes back on within a day or two. I have had the Jeep to the dealer 4 times now and they are still trying to figure it out.

Is anyone else having this issue?

Early 2014 (NOV 2013 build) Ecodiesel with 40,000 miles.

Re: CEL Code P04DB "Crankcase ventilation disconnected"

Ok....I picked up the Jeep today and they said they fixed it...they said it was the oil separator...I didn't know the ecodiesel had one on it? Also I have to take it back in next week as the Valve cover on the drivers side in the back near the firewall has a leak. When they went to order the gasket they found out that the cover and gasket all come together. Its on National backorder and it should be in next week sometime.

Re: CEL Code P04DB "Crankcase ventilation disconnected"

I picked it up and the light came back on within 24 hours. I'm waiting for parts with the engine cover (valve cover) and gasket it should be in by the end of the week.

I had the same code for the disconnect. I just did an oil change and accidently used the Ram spec on amount of oil. Took some oil out and I've been problem free since (2 weeks or so). Worth checking to see if the PCV line is also clogged.

Re: CEL Code P04DB "Crankcase ventilation disconnected"

Thanks for sharing, mine first occurred about half way between oil changes and it wasn't over filled. The dealer replaced the PVC line as they thought that was it. The also replaced the sensor that sits one the front of the engine towards the air box I believe it was a PVC sensor and still the same code. They also said the oil separator was working properly as there was an excessive amount of oil blow by going back into the main air intake into the turbo as the PVC line returns back into the air intake on the back side of the air box. It seems to have fixed that issue.
I have to drop it off today for the oil leak on the back side of the engine leaking enough for the oil to be low after 2,000 miles since changing and mine normally doesn't use any oil.

Back to what you said about being over full, it really has me thinking the system is that sensitive to throw a code for having too much oil. Maybe there's something to that with mine with all the blow by it had? I wonder if it will correct itself from the excessive blow by after a few cold restarts? Anyway the CEL is still on after about a week from the dealer replacing the oil separator. Who knows hopefully they will fix it this time or it will correct itself.
