Re: CEL Code P04DB "Crankcase ventilation disconnected"
Thanks for sharing, mine first occurred about half way between oil changes and it wasn't over filled. The dealer replaced the PVC line as they thought that was it. The also replaced the sensor that sits one the front of the engine towards the air box I believe it was a PVC sensor and still the same code. They also said the oil separator was working properly as there was an excessive amount of oil blow by going back into the main air intake into the turbo as the PVC line returns back into the air intake on the back side of the air box. It seems to have fixed that issue.
I have to drop it off today for the oil leak on the back side of the engine leaking enough for the oil to be low after 2,000 miles since changing and mine normally doesn't use any oil.
Back to what you said about being over full, it really has me thinking the system is that sensitive to throw a code for having too much oil. Maybe there's something to that with mine with all the blow by it had? I wonder if it will correct itself from the excessive blow by after a few cold restarts? Anyway the CEL is still on after about a week from the dealer replacing the oil separator. Who knows hopefully they will fix it this time or it will correct itself.
