Interested to know cat availability up here and hopefully they get you fixed up asap.

Are you mostly hwy or city driving?
Service MGR, was telling me that they are facing some delays, while I was at counter, a guy with a DOGE RAM DIESEL stopped by to see if his new CAT was arrived, had same issue...he has been waiting for a few weeks...I asked the service MGR if he could order my new CAT now, since we will surely see each other soon for the official '' we need to change your CAT '' so this way I would already be on the waiting list! He started laughing....So now waiting for the updates to be done, and I'll hot him again with this... Got them to change my AIR filter under warranty, seal was cracked as many have experienced here...check you AIR filters guys....

Re: Check Engine

So a waiting game commences.

Are you mostly city or hwy driving? Though the new cat seems to resolve the issue I'm curious why it ends up going bad. Too much Def, not hot enough etc etc.

Re: Check Engine

Update, Well I was sent on my way, new update revE done. Seems that I am the first GC ECO with this issue at this dealer. All others are the RAM's...the wait is up to 1 month right now for the new CAT...

As for my driving with the Jeep, sitting at 12.5K Km's and I would say that 75% is highway... I was also told that the regen process will NOT happen while on Cruise Control...since I mostly do highway driving, I'm 95% of the time using CC. Tech was supposed to tell me if the regen process had occurred, which he forgot and so did I. So, I reseted the TRIP B counter and waiting for the errors to pop up....seriously, I'm anxious for it to come back, so I can start the process for the CAT change....lets see how long it will take...all bets are open!

I don't think no one really knows why this issue occurs, they told me that some have had the update and never heard back from them, and why some JEEP's or RAM's and not others? Built date? Software update not done early enough on older builds?

Regens of the DPF do happen on cruise control.

Additionally, the DPF and the SCR cat/DEF are independent systems. The only connection I've noticed is the DPF goes into a brief regen during engine warm up to provide heat to the SCR catalyst. As soon as the cat gets to 1,000F it stops heating and runs normally. You'll notice reduced fuel economy for a while during warm up and after a few miles it'll instantly jump back up to normal.

Thanks for the info! Why would the service MGR tell me this, I just don't get it, maybe trying to give an excuse of why the P20EE code showed up...but still, does that even make sense....
