Can you please tell me what dealership in Iowa is replacing these bad filters. My dealership in Wisconsin tells me "Mopar won't stand behind these filters" I have to pay for them myself with less than 3,000 miles. $32.00 per filter.

I'd file a complaint with FCA - just to make yourself feel better.

Then, I'd look long and hard for a new dealer. That's BS.

I agree!

Mine was cracked after only a few thousand kilometres.
Dealer replaced it FOC, but the new one failed in the same way almost immediately. It was obviously a completely faulty batch.

I replaced it with another brand as I could see no point in going back to the dealer to have another fitted which would fail in the same way.

How would one file a complaint with FCA?

and be sure.... this will do nothing. it's purely to feel like you did something

EDIT:
Note. I gave the stock filter one chance. I took it out, it was ripped and I ended up buying the aFe Power dry filter part #31-10253

EDIT2:
And this is in case a FCA rep is watching these forums.
I will never purchase another America vechicle at this price point again. It's a joke, I'da been better off spending 10K more on a M-B Bluetech. At least I'd get a 'loaner' when it was brought in for service.

Re: Check your air filter

I have 14,800 miles on a 2014 Ecodiesel which was purchased new in June 2014 and I now have my 5th filter failing and the dealer started a star case when my 4th filter failed. I will be returning to the dealer soon to have them put a new one in. When a 1 year or 12,000 mile part continues to fail every 2,500 miles or so I have no problem letting the warranty pick up the cost. I am sure they will be happy to see me in a few weeks when the tear gets bigger. The dealer has been very nice about it and have been on top of getting me a new filter every time so I have no problem going back.

Re: Check your air filter

I am on my 4th filter in a '15. Dealer just keeps replacing. They have even found some of them faulty when getting a new one from the spare parts.

Was in a different dealer 3 weeks ago and got talking to the salesman and he said he had never heard of the problem. Lifted the bonnet of a brand new Summit on the lot, pulled the filter out and it was stuffed.

So the problem is still out there.

My 15 summit had cracks in the seal 3 days after reviving it. I replaced it with a K&n filter
