Unless I missed something, that appears to be the only solutions.

It's not that I'm slack but I've been to the dealer twice and each time they didn't have the diesel tech working. Apparently that person works 7-5 M-F; I might need to change careers....
Took my truck in and got it out same day after they flashed the ECM. Drove home then next day the SES light came on again. Oh well, service guy said it was 50/50 chance the flash would work. Said I'd have to play the game and bring it in again so they could run it through the process to order another cat.

I will say the flash did something to the shifting as it feels snapper between shifts.

Again, the flash certainly changed my shifting for the better. Crisper and when reengaging the cruise controls, tranny downshifts and motor gets on it. I took my JGC back in and they had it 1-1/2 days to replace the CAT. I drove 20+ miles and light still off. I'll keep this thread updated.

Aigh't, to review, the code popped up a few months ago. It cycled on/off every few driving cycles. Then it just stayed on. After the dealership flashed my ECM 3-weeks ago, they replaced the CAT 2/3-weeks ago. Since the CAT replacement and a little more than 1 week driving, the CES light has stayed off.

When the code was on all the time, it started affecting my mileage to the tune of 1-2 mpg/tank. That is, I was under 23 mpg until the CAT was replaced and now I'm back up over 25 mpg. I'm always running late and mash on it so I don't expect to get high mileage unless I take a trip. Hope this helps the rest of you poor bastards out there with this problem.

Re: Code P20EE

So everyone with this problem needs to call (877)426-5337 (Jeep Satisfaction Hotline) and report to to Jeep that this is an occurring issue that needs to be resolved so they make this a recall. I had my CAT replaced at 17,000 miles and I just got the same code at 23,000 miles. Issue is not resolved. It is in the shop today... The more people that call the sooner we have our Jeeps back.

Re: Code P20EE

I've just joined the P20EE club

Bringing our Travel Trailer home from the storage yard, up pops the SES light!
Checked the code with my Torque app and Tada! there it was....

Called the dealer and spoke with the service writer and explained the code but he said they would have to do it themselves to ensure they got the correct parts. The bad news was that the first appointment was a week from tomorrow....I then called Jeep to ensure they had the Cat converters in stock and also if I should drive our Overland while it is throwing the code. He said he would check with engineering and get back to me within 24hrs. At this point, after 23k miles, I will take nothing less than a replacement cat. They asked if I could take it to another dealer but we live in a small town in Texas, so not much joy with that!

This really effed up our travel plans for the next 3 weeks as the Jeep is our only tow vehicle.

Another issue also reared its ugly head.....pulsing from the front brakes!
Just in case it was a pad material issue, I went on I-10 and did a couple of hard 60-5mph stops but even after that I'm still getting the pulsing. You can feel it at low speeds but it is definitely worse from around 50mph and up, as it shakes quite badly.

So, I hope the dealer can get both these issues sorted. Our Overland has been just great for 23k miles and now these things occur. Not happy, but not ready to go postal quite yet !

An appointment plus a week later to bring your vehicle in when it's throwing an emission code? That's baloney. I had good luck negotiating a rental while my truck was in for that repair and I think you would have a good case after making you wait. Your throbbing brakes sound like warped rotors. Pads are not a warranty item, but rotors darn sure are after 23k mi. Negotiate a rental for P20EE and then mention in passing could they also check the brakes.

Re: Code P20EE

I didn't get rental car coverage and waiting for FCA to reimburse me for the expense when I brought mine in for P20EE repair. The dealer was fantastic in getting it done in 48 hours.

Pulsing brakes almost always is warped rotors on these. The WKs were known for undersized brakes and warping especially if you towed small trailers w/o brakes. There was a Stillen rotor / pad upgrade for the WKs that I did and the brakes were perfect after that even when towing 6k lbs (with trailer brakes of course).

As for calling customer service - I tweet it to @chryslercares as it's a public feed and they get back to you much faster than waiting forever on the phone.

Re: Code P20EE

Just got my JGC back from the shop after 10 weeks of waiting on parts to correct P20EE. Complete new exhaust system + sensors. Dealerships claims $ 6000. of parts applied to vehicle.

Hope this is fixed. I will post again if fault code re-appears.

Re: Code P20EE

Unbelieveable how slow some dealers are. Mine was done in less than 24 hours. My dealer rocks plain and simple and I get treated as well as or better than my BMW dealership.

Re: Code P20EE

UPDATE:

Well, just brought our JGC home from the dealer. My VIN is part of the SCR Cat RRT and all the codes matched with the issues. So a new SCR Cat and associated parts are on order plus new rotors and pads as the rotors were definitely warped.

I also had them check my a/c as we experienced occasional temp issues and it wasn't the RRT for the a/c re-flash (which is what I thought it was), the system was actually low on refrigerant and I seemed to remember another poster with this issue. They recharged it and added dye and will recheck it when it goes back in to get the SCR RRT and brakes done!

They did inform me that some parts associated with the P20EE RRT are on back-order. They could not get an ETA on them and said it might be next week or a couple of weeks. The RRT on the P20EE issues has probably caused a parts backlog!

Well, at least it is "driveable" but I am definitely keeping local with it and NOT towing our TT until it all gets fixed.

Our 23k of uneventful miles has come to an end and I now join other JGC owners with "issues". If all this gets done with no further problems or issues, I'll be satisfied. However, SWMBO is royally pissed off because we've had two road trips with our Travel Trailer cancelled because of the problems.

Ah Well! No-one is bleeding or dying so its simply a case of "c'est la vie"!

Re: Code P20EE

I was lucky with a 48 hour turnaround for P20EE. Call dealers in your area and talk to Service Manager and see if they've done it before - don't bring it to someone who has not had to deal with it before.

Re: Code P20EE

Mines in the shop right now for the P20EE as well as a washer fluid tank replacement due to Rain-X.

I have had the code for probably the last 3 months but decided now was the time for the fix since it disables remote start and it is that season, as well as it is time for a tire rotation and oil change and I wouldn't pass my safety inspection in December with the code thrown.

Dropped it off last Tuesday and they diagnosed the CEL (as I already had) and ordered parts to repair. Have to call today to check the status as the weather has taken a dive and I am not wanting to drive my summer car anymore with them preemptively salting the roads now.
