separate, unrelated things...they obviously changed the top of the tank to black for a technical reason like better for heat, whatever or maybe they just didn't want it same color as washer reservoir (my guess)...

purple OAT (correct stuff for us) is well documented to change colors toward a pinkish (some say orangish) color within a few k miles, but not always...it's just unfortunate confusion with the oragne/pink HOAT to purple OAT change in '13 so it confuses us when our purple turns pinkish...that said it is possible an inattentive mechanic added pink HOAT during a topoff....I would only suspect that if you have debris, obvious brown color or an amonia smell as those are physical sign of contamination from reaction with heater core solder, etc...if no amonia smell yours is fine IMHO...

vvv lifted from a chally forum post (thanks sidewinder):

vvv factory purple oat fill after 26k:

vvv factory purple oat fill drawn out:

vvv purple OAT straight from new jug but held in radiator drawn position for pic comparison purposes and lighting similarity:

vvv in the garage looking horizontal it all makes sense with this pic as the purple oat looks pinkinsh/orangish brand new 0 miles but you can see how a shift to distinctly pinkish is possible:

vvv...and then you see it looking straight down in bright sunlight and you wonder how the purple OAT can "become" the pink (mine at 26k) on the right as that looks like pink HOAT, but it isn't:

hope this helps...

This really helps a lot. Thanks!!!

I didn't smelled anything weird. I will take a better look tomorrow under sun and will use a syringe to take out some to see how it is.
