Re: cooled seats

I don't have any complaints.

You might want to post this question in the main WK2 forum since I'm guessing many people don't read this area if they have a gasser.

Re: cooled seats

Ours are heated and air drawn seats. I have rented Dodge Chargers and they have true heated and cooled seats and it makes a lot of difference. I still love my vented seats but the cooled version is really nice if you live in hot climates like I do.
Anyway you cut it I would not give these seats up just providing a data point. Also the Charger allows both analog and digital speed displays which is also nice...

Re: cooled seats

Analog AND digital speedo which we can't do. Minor but kind of nice in the Charger.

Re: cooled seats

My wife and I were just commenting on this over the weekend. We test drove a limited diesel a few months back and the ventilated seats were very noticeable. In our new overland, both seem weaker with the passenger side being rather lame.

Re: cooled seats

Had a guy in the jeep today and we were talking about the ventilated seats and how they suck the air downward for the cooling effect.

He asked what happens to the air that it sucks down. "If you fart while they are on, does the air get channeled to the back seat or what?" Guess it could be a legitimate question...

Re: cooled seats

Regarding ventilated seats and farting, I'll only say that it causes a rapid response.....an aftermarket in-seat charcoal filter would be nice for those that eat a lot of Mexican food!

I have noticed this and have a theory. The ventilation is more noticeable when the air is cooler. Thus, several months ago when the interior temperature was maybe 60 or 70 degrees, the ventilation was noticeable. Now, in the summer, the air is hotter and the ventilation is not as noticeable. I bet it is still good to have the ventilation on, but we just don't feel it as much when the interior temperature is 80 degrees (or 120 here in Tucson).

Pretty close to 90 here today. The ventilated seats felt very good.
