I'm surprised no one ever replied to your post. I recently had a front Hitch installed. I think the only one is the Curt Hitch. It solves the problem of where to put my bike when towing my camper. I had my dealer "Ferman Jeep" in Lutz, FL (pronounced "Loots".), install it, they did a great job. Notice my model below. The tow hooks and their mounting brackets needed to be removed. I have been very happy with the service staff at Ferman Jeep. Since I have a premium lifetime 0 deductible Mopar Service Plan, I will be going there for a long time. Many on here have said how ugly it was. Well, I don't care about that. It is the easiest way to add a lot of functionality to the front of your JGC.

Thanks, Commando. What'd you do with your forward radar? And can you share pictures? Some may call it ugly but I can see how it adds a lot of functionality. Especially for a winch.

IMHO, I think a good way to have a winch is keep it inside the rig, and then when needed connect it to either the front or rear hitch. More flexibility that way, and it depends on if you're nosed into an obstruction and need to be winched out backwards, or otherwise winched out forwards. I guess that also depends on how heavy the winch is, too.

If I get around to it... I have posted photos in the past... I am especially proud of my Floor Jack Lift Points Photos.

Also, I never got around to showing how I lift the entire side at one time using a Floor Jack and my Rocky Road Supersliders.

Sorry, I missed the question about the radar before, the radar is not affected at all by this hitch installation. When I have a bike rack attached, the radar does not work. I have come to depend on the cruise control /w stop. It will be weird to not have it, I guess it shouldn't be used when towing anyway. When I am towing is the only time I use the front hitch on the open road.

I wish I had room between the trailer and the car for a rack, but there is not. My Bike Rack swings out of the way so it is not inconvenient when not trailering. I only have it on the front when I have no choice, i.e. when I am trailering. The obstruction is minimal but not having the adaptive cruise control and automatic braking is annoying. If I had any option to put the bike somewhere else besides the front of my JGC I would do it. I will take some photos as my rig is assembled this weekend.

That's a good idea. If I use the front rack more frequently and/or for longer trips, I may explore that in the future.
