I got the same stuff and promptly forgot to use it. Was ~10 bucks for the small roll at Autozone nearby in Phoenix AZ.

Re: DEF INJECTOR and Harness protection group buy

I sent out some emails today for tracking. It may or may not have gotten on the truck today but will for sure tomorrow. I just got a distorted call from shop saying he (ups) ran out of room. Not sure if some or all didnt make it on truck.

Re: DEF INJECTOR and Harness protection group buy

I also had to open up the center hole on the right side of the hole by about 5/16. the hole was plenty big just off on location. there was no way to get the bolt started it was way to much of a angle and the plate was hitting the def injector. It seems enough of us has had this problem to warrent moving the hole to the right about 5/16. I also dont see any point of making the spacer hole or the washers so big and sloppy. The large hole in the plate gives all the adjustment needed. having a sloppy fitting washer and spacer won't help anything but the hole being more in the right place will. I also chose to use the 3m foam tape on the back instead of drilling the hole. plate looks great thanks.

Re: DEF INJECTOR and Harness protection group buy

I think if i open up the mounting hole that re uses the factory bolt just a tad bit. That will fix it. It will probably allow the side mounting hole to rest better since some say thats off too.

Its probably really easy for me to install becuz i have installed this this a few 100 times. On and off on and off. So the few guys that i hav personally installed for them at shop or my house, they never left my side as far as install and can see i never busted out the drill bit to open up or modify the plate. Im actually really disappointed that you guys are having a hard time installing it. I take a lot of pride in what i do. .

Dom, I need to coordinate a time to stop by and have you mount mine, so if you want to play around with it we can do that.

Re: DEF INJECTOR and Harness protection group buy

in my case opening up the front hole where the factory bolt is used wouldn't have helped. The wing of the plate would have still been hitting the def injector plug. The only solution was for me to oblong the hole on the right side by 5/16 allowing the plate to slide over. This made everything line up correctly. At least on mine it only seemed the center hole was off all others were good. You should be proud you made a nice piece. Not sure why some have issues and some don't. Im sure there is a little tolerance on the jeep but i cant see the chassis bolts being off all that much. I am also a machinist and a fabricator so i know where you are coming from. i was gonna make my own plate but im getting a little lazy lol.

Can you define what you mean by "right side"? I enlarged the hole towards the rear and towards the outside (right side of vehicle) to get the bolt straight.

And Dom, the spacer is fine.

By right side I mean if you set the plate on the ground the same way it would be installed I opened up the right side of the hole by about 5/16 which allowed the plate to shift over to the left clear the def injector and the bolt lined up perfectly straight after that. The bolt on mine is also toward the right rear a little like yours.

Re: DEF INJECTOR and Harness protection group buy

We installed ours today, I went to Lowe's and got a 1/4 x 20 x 3/4
stainless screw and washers and a captive nut plate they had to put in the front slot.

Worked like a charm, used the two sided tape at the rear instead of drilling the frame
(Lowe's had that also) and the middle bolt and the bolt for the protector plate and our 1/4" screw for
the front.

Did not need any drilling, fit was great, I did install an extra layer of wiring
harness protector to give a little extra protection for the the def wiring harness from the plate.
