DEF Line retention - RRT 14-075

Dealer ordered the parts last week and the parts department informed Service that there is, roughly, a one week delay on the Kit, part # 68257352AA.

So, if you haven't had it done already, call the dealer and get this done Free of Charge.....

RRT 14-075 - Kit required is part 68257352AA...

I removed my Dom's DEF Protection plate before taking it in.....

Re: DEF Line retention - RRT 14-075

I had them do it with my plate on. They had to remove it though. They had no problem what so ever with my plate. They installed it too. Diesel service tech asked where I got it. Pointed them in the right direction

Howdy Dom

I thought about leaving it on but our local dealer (small town in Texas!) wasn't the dealer I bought our JGC from!

Would rather just reinstall it myself and make sure there is new double sided tape installed plus Blue Loctite on the bolts!

That's what you get for being anal LOL!

Re: DEF Line retention - RRT 14-075

I tried to call ahead to get this fix done. They had know idea what I was talking about and basically weren't much interested in what i was saying. I'm female and I think the guy thought I was nuts. Which could be true, but not in this case. So when I brought it in I had the code number to give him thanks to you all. I was trying to explain the problem people have been having with this DEF system. He was clueless and not friendly about it, but they did look it up and did the fix. Now I can put DOM's plate on I received a couple of weeks ago. I have been very unimpressed with my Jeep dealers service dept.. I've only had it in twice once for an oil change, now this which also included a recall fix and tire rotation, and several Flash updates. I've really enjoyed driving this diesel Jeep and I don't want them to screw it up somehow.

That's the great thing about this site, it will definitely make you an informed consumer .

I do hope you've become a premium member and contributed.....

If you haven't found it already, under the Jeep Tech tab, there is a sub linky to Service Bulletins/Recalls.

Check on this regularly and you will be up on any TSB's for your JGC. I simply print mine out and take the whole TBS/RRT notice to my local dealer. They were pretty good about doing all 3 for my 2014 JGC Overland Diesel, even though I didn't buy from them.

Merry Christmas...

the dealer called me yesterday and told me this kit is back ordered for now. Is it really that hard to find 3 zip ties?

Ah, but you are missing the fact that these are Trail Rated® plastic zip ties. Makes all the difference in the world.

AZSCOO
Sorry to hear about your dealer treatment. Mine has been excellent and
I rate them as good as
Or better than BMW. If possible find another dealer.
Male or female should make no difference what so ever...

Re: DEF Line retention - RRT 14-075

As an update to this.... I'm at the dealer now and the DEF injector tie down is a running change at the factory and trucks built after 4/1 should already have the kit in place. This was verified as correct on my 6/19 build.
