Re: Did you get extended warranty for you 3.0 diesel

I paid 1950 from one of the sources mentioned Zeigler.
Best price I could get at the time for 8/120

Re: Did you get extended warranty for you 3.0 diesel

$1950 is great. I was quoted $2250 I think last week from a guy at chrystlerwarranties.com for the 8/120 with $100 deductible. I'd absolutely purchase a $0 deductible lifetime option if it were available. Who knows, skid plates didn't used to be an option on Summits but they are now so I'll hold out till the end of my first year of ownership before I jump on a 8/120.

Re: Did you get extended warranty for you 3.0 diesel

Hey all,
I have the extended warranty on my 2015 EcoDiesel. I've had the P026C code/check engine light for the past month. Took it to one dealer twice where the first time they did some computer updates. 2 days later the light came back on and I took it back within the week. this time they told me to replace the air filter. It's back on again and this time I took it to another dealership. They've had it two days now and are waiting to hear back from Jeep on what to do.

My question to you all is, does the warranty cover a rental car? I don't really want to go through the weekend without a second vehicle.

The mopar maxcare extended service contract does cover 5 days of rental per visit. many dealers have the rentals onsite, just tell them you want one and they set it up if they are ones that have them. I have used it many times

Thanks. That what I thought as well. When I first asked for a rental they told me they aren't authorized until they know what's wrong and have a way forward to fix it. I think he was referencing this...

"RENTAL ALLOWANCE: Rental Allowance will pay up to $35.00 per day for a rental any time repairs take overnight, and a component covered by the Plan or the manufacturer’ s Basic or Powertrain Warranty fails.
The Plan will not pay for rental charges for a vehicle that is awaiting service or parts unless the vehicle is inoperable due to a mechanical failure of a covered component, or unless continued operation would cause further damage."

I'll hit them up again tomorrow and push for it.

your jeep is throwing codes, they should have given it to you today that was not right of them. Also that $35 things is kinda BS I have never paid a dime on a rental and the rental prices of GCs, ram crew cabs and other full size rental vehicles I have got is more than $35 but they have never charged me anything more and I have had at least a dozen rentals through maxcare

Re: Did you get extended warranty for you 3.0 diesel

I have like 3 weeks left on my factory warranty (expires Nov. 9th I believe?), any idea of what it'd cost me to jump up to a extended warranty via Chrysler vs aftermarket? Aftermarket (Zeigler) prices I'm looking at via quick quotes online are $1335 for 5yr/60k and $1450 for 6yr/60K.

I'm trying to get Chrysler to help me out with getting a fair trade-in for my Jeep (I've had a lot of problems with it... P20EE, etc) but this is my backup plan if they totally screw me over on it.

Re: Did you get extended warranty for you 3.0 diesel

Yea don't trust them man. Protect your self as much as possible. I would get it if I were you..... and then after you get it, try and trade it for something else or newer version ( not so many issues). When / if you do get out of it, cancel the warranty and you will get most of it back ( pro rated) and the check will show up with in a day or two.

I canceled mine at 75k and got back $1025.
