Does you Ecodiesel make this noise?

My 15' GC has almost 8000 miles on it now, and there is a noise upon deceleration at lower RPM's that I have been noticing more and more. To best describe it, it sounds like a "mini jake-brake". I notice it most when I am in sport mode (because it stays in gear longer) and am coming to a stop.

Has anyone else heard this noise? Is this normal?

More than likely you're hearing a combination of the transmission braking, and a little bit of clatter from your diesel injection pump. With over 60 K on the odometer on mine, when I pull a trailer in sport mode I can actually hear the turbo spool. The sound is quite wonderful!

Re: Does you Ecodiesel make this noise?

Yea, it is definitely due to transmission braking. But it did not make that sound when I first bought it. It seems also to be more apparent when the motor is fully warmed up. I only hear it at low RPMS. I do not hear it on the freeway, which I drive atleast 10 miles a day on.
