Yea, I already asked the dealer about having different tires put on, but that did not fly. Perhaps a tire dealer would swap. I'd have to look into that.

BTW, I always had good luck with Coopers.

Re: Ecodiesel 4x4 OEM Tires - What did you get?

Getting mine changed out this weekend. The Latitudes are great on-road tires - smooth, quiet, and good for gas mileage. I think that is why it came standard; most of these vehicles will never see a dirt road in its lifetime, and Jeep probably didn't want complaints from soccer moms about noise, vibration, and harshness. Plus they can advertise a great MPG. I think that off-road/all-terrain tire selection is a pretty unique decision so I think Jeep figured they'd leave that up to the individual.

My '14 came with Bridgestone Dueler AT's on factory option black offroad wheels. Bit noisy on the highway but on dirt theyre brilliant, sucks up almost every little bump and general harshness of a dirt road.

Spare is an 18" Kumho Solus.

Re: Ecodiesel 4x4 OEM Tires - What did you get?

My 2014 (export) Laredo Diesel came with the Michelin Latitude Tours 265/60R18's So far I've had no issues with them after 12'000 klm. They were rotated at the 10k service.

I find them quiet but have not experienced much wet weather but we are now into winter so i'll be mindful of the aquaplaning issue. Thanks. Where we are our winter temps rarely get to freezing, so snow is not an option.

When replacement time comes round i'll look seriously at the Coopers HT-Plus

Re: Ecodiesel 4x4 OEM Tires - What did you get?

Yea, I got the Lats too.
I am thinking of another set of tires and rims for winter/off road. My initial thinking are those tires made in Finnland. I am hearing good reports for them. Now the question is about having tire pressure monitoring, in regard to after market rims.

Re: Ecodiesel 4x4 OEM Tires - What did you get?

Latitude Tours with Kumho spare came on our 2/14 build with ORAII.

With 20k on them, they are looking really good and 5k of that is towing a Travel Trailer. They are a quiet tire with a good ride, decent handling and we experienced no problems in heavy rain, even when towing.

Did some mild off roading in Big Bend National Park when we drove down Old Ore Road, which is 26miles long and requires high clearance vehicles. No issues there either.........

Living in Central Texas, snow really isn't an issue for us (no kidding!) and so they work just fine for us.

Re: Ecodiesel 4x4 OEM Tires - What did you get?

The Michelin Latitudes cam on our 2014 with the ORA-II package. We're at 34,000 miles and the tread is already getting pretty thin so I will be replacing them before winter hits. We just moved back to North Dakota so I'll be picking something good in the snow.

Prob won't buy them again, but I wouldn't scrap them early....
I have 19K on the Forteras and the tread still looks great. I've done some light offroading and they've performed adequately over rock obstacles, in mud and on sand. I haven't done snow & ice yet. Or even much rain, it's been dry here, drout conditions. For snow & ice I'll have to go up to Tahoe and the Sierras this winter. I always love the winters there.

I'll use up the Forteras, and then get AT tires. I'll keep the 20" wheels for now, for better on-road responsiveness, less sidewall flex. My anticipated usage will be >95% on-road and <5% offroad. Maybe more like 97/3 or 98/2. 20s should do me fine. For now.
