Re: Ecodiesel 4x4 OEM Tires - What did you get?

Hopefully someone will offer a slightly more all-terrain/off-road tire in the P265/50R20 size for those of us with the 20" wheels.

Michelin LTX A/T2 would be ideal. The closest they have would be a P275/55R20, and I'm not sure how that would adjust the speedometer?

Seems like those 275/55R20s should fit w/o issue.
If the Forteras won't stop shaking...I'll have to go to something else as well.

That's crazy! All 3 of my GC Overlands have had 20" Forteras and none of them had a vibration/shake. Very thankful for that!

I don't have 4wd but my 20's are the Forteras. I am NOT a Good Year fan but these have been the best GY tires I have ever owned. They can be a tad loud on rougher roads but wear at 10k is unnoticable so far and I have not rotated yet. They don't shake, shimmy or moan. Overall I am very pleased and tread looks good enough for snow and offroad use(mild) if I still lived in NJ. I would buy them again if cheap. I usually prefer Michelin or BFG's due to wear.

Finally got a $617 credit from Goodyear.....put on some 275/55r20 GY Adventure ATs......minor inner fender rubbing at full lock.....pin the inner fender or adjust/replace steering stops.....happy so far.

Re: Ecodiesel 4x4 OEM Tires - What did you get?

After owning a 2009 overland, a 2012, and now a 2015 overland the tires you get are disappointing. They are all high mileage highway tires. Other then that I love my jeep grand. Which is why I am in the market for a 90's grand to build for off-roading.

Re: Ecodiesel 4x4 OEM Tires - What did you get?

Just got my factory ordered Overland 4X4 yesterday and it came with the Michelin Latitude Tour tires P265/60/18.

Still trying to find the best tire for my use; very hot summer roads, some mud, some snow, frequent gravel/rock/dirt roads. Don't want too aggressive looking tire as I don't like the look for me. Am considering the Michelin Defender LTX MS or the A/T2.

While these certainly aren't the BEST tires for this vehicle, they are the best for the money. They are not offroad tires, but many of us barely get on a dirt road, let alone off road.....They are markedly cheaper than anything else close, and if they do 90% of what you want then they are a no brainer. Just make sure the shop you by them from stands behind them if they won't balance, shake on the road or whatever. I was against them in the beginning, but over all they have worn fairly well, been thru 2 winters for me, and at 25K miles are about half gone. My 2nd choice would be Continental Cross Contacts.. I have had them on 2 other cars and they have worked and worn well.....

Re: Ecodiesel 4x4 OEM Tires - What did you get?

Funny first thing I told the Husband was that as soon as these tires go we will be replacing them with something else. We have the Overland 4x4 with the P265/60/18 tires and I had that impression after my first dirt road. They were definitely not sure footed. After reading this I'm not sure I want them in the rain driving the highway.

Upgrade would be to something not too aggressive but like others I do some dirt roads in varying states of repair, Mountain snow, and crossing my fingers for some good El Nino rain. Just can't justify the cost until I get some miles on these.
