EcoDiesel available in 2017 WK2 TrailHawk....

Interesting. I wonder if that is solely because of the DEF injector location? Would love to have had a more off-road package than my Summit fascia, but I love the premium stereo and interior trim and well, I don't too far off the trail with my Jeep, anyways.

In reference to the def injector location we've got that covered as well as the entire harness that supplies it, for your full protection, off road enjoyment and piece of mind with the Def Injector/Full Harness Protection Shield.
Best regards, Rex

Time will tell, but the diesel is better for towing, whereas the trial hawk is made more for off roading. If you do a lot of off roading, it is better with the gas over the diesel because of the engine compression in a gas engine.

What's engine compression got to do with offroading?

You mean compression braking?

Because it's not compression ratio...

The diesel, with the low end torque though, will idle over most obstacles...

If I only waited a bit longer....this is exactly the platform that I would have gone for if it was available this past September. Although the diesel engine was a major selling point for me and may have been a deal breaker if not available for the Trailhawk. They should have it as an option and I wonder why they are not offering it, strange.

I really like the gray accents and it is great to see that there is no chrome anywhere - even around the windows. What I REALLY like is the additional height in the air suspension:

"The adjustable air suspension optional on other Grand Cherokees is also included, albeit modified for an extra 0.4 inch of ground clearance in its tallest setting (for a total of 10.8 inches)" <--- sweet!

They probably also solved the bottoming out of suspension at the off-road II setting that exists with the current air suspension.

0.4 " - really? It would be nice if they fixed the suspension clunk though.

Yes compression braking. Much better in gas and non existent in diesel. Have owned both, and gas is better for going down hills at very low speeds.

Re: EcoDiesel available in 2017 WK2 TrailHawk....

At first I was annoyed that I just made an order for a 16 75th but after seeing the specs I am not. I thought they would have 35s and different suspension, but at the looks of it its maybe a slighly different QL.
