Re: Ecodiesel Lifetime Oil Change Contract $1200. Deal Or No Deal?

I bought the lifetime oil changes for $1500 Cananda at $200/oil chnage it doesnt take long to pay for itself; i was told that it was up to 4 changes a year at 8000km intervals. my last car ( 06 Magnum 5.7 AWD) used 7.5 litres of oil per change and i bought a lifetime oil change for $500 at the 100,000 mark and have been getting changes every 5000km since! ( now car is at 225,000km)
dealers love it as you will always bring your car there for service and they recoup the cost on other repairs. with the sevice history of my magnum they made their money back MANY times

Re: Ecodiesel Lifetime Oil Change Contract $1200. Deal Or No Deal?

I'm at the other end of the scale when it comes to miles driven in my 2014 Turbodiesel. Purchased in Nov, 2013 and just turned 68,000 miles. Just finished doing my own oil change for the 7th time (Oil life gauge has indicated changing at 10k every time). The first couple of oil changes cost me about $120. With more of these vehicles on the road the price has come down on the oil (not the Mopar filter) so I'm spending about $100 per oil change now.

If you keep your vehicle long enough $1200 sounds like a good deal to me.
