The reason I ask is that the DPF Regen On/Off that is floated around for a while does not work on our Aussie Export models, Scan Gauge have a X gauge for DPF Regen but I dont know how to convert it. I an going to try out your other PIDs tonight.

I got the ideas for most PID from the spreadsheet earlier in this thread, combined with reading the Cummins forums.
Nobody has figured out the trick to do those PID that start with 22. I wish they did so we could get Trans Temp, I tried lots of ways to attempt to wake the TCM so they work.

Here is a trick way you could get a regen indicator:
Edit the display config, Set a High Warning on the Cat T for 1200F, I use this and whenever its doing a regen the whole Cat T guage flashes. Within seconds of this, my Regen mode lights up too. This flash is more obvious than the regen mode light I also have that doesn't work for yours.

ScanGauge figured it out (or, more likely, "licensed the secret list"). Someone who cared enough to buy a logic analyzer and hook it up to a ScanGauge running the latest firmware would also be able to figure it out.

It's not the translation of the XGauge codes that's the issue, it's determining the command to enable the "firewall" to allow the potentially dangerous mode 22 PIDs.

Torque doesn't say what PID are used on the built in ones.
I haven't had a chance to check yet but let you know. Didn't get the cooler in either as it is a big job as was going to take longer than I had.

Good idea with the cat temp1 alarm for regen too. Thanks for that.

Re: Ecodiesel specific PID's?

Ok so I just did a bit of testing with the temp PID's. On our Export Eco's the turbo compressor inlet temp and standard intake temp PID's don't work. Standard ambient air temperature PID works and so does CACT. CACT I believe from watching it with boost and engine load it is temperature after the intercooler as it fluctuated depending on how long on boost etc. At 15C ambient I was getting temps from 21-35C.

So I would really like to somehow find a maf sensor temp or something like that to help really determine how well the intercooler is working. Ideal would be post turbo temp too but I know that's asking bit much unless I install thermocouples to my multimeter.

So I attached a new CSV with all these to save typing them in. An interesting thing I found, we share almost all of these with all the Dodge trucks: 1500, 2500, 3500 even with the 6.7L Cummins. Way to go Chrysler!
Has anyone else had issues with getting the engine idle time to work? The engine run time works great but the engine idle time just reads 0.

I cant get idle time either, I thought it was maybe since last startup was why mine was 0, but it appears always 0. I also can't get the DPF: Inlet and Outlet Pressure to work, so I removed those bad ones. The DPF drop appears to work but I fixed the range since it cant go negative. I fixed the range of a few others where the temp should be 1200F not 12000. A new version with those fixes attached here.

Re: Ecodiesel specific PID's?

Here is a new PID I found and confirmed works to show run time since engine start, so I renamed the other to Total time:
"Engine: Run Time","Run Time","011F","((A*256)+B)/60",0,100,"Mins","Auto"
"Engine: Total Time","Total Time","017F","(B*(256^3)+C*(256^2)+D*256+E)/3600",0,500,"Hours","Auto"

Re: Ecodiesel specific PID's?

Reviving this thread. Just bought a new-to-me 2014 Overland Ecodiesel and loving it so far. I'd like to monitor some parameters while towing and to generally geek out. I am vaguely familiar with DashCommand using it an older non-OBDII car to show aftermarket PID's. I noticed that most folks in this thread are using Torque, is anyone using DashCommand? If so, what dashboard are you using?

On another note, has anyone figured out if you can force the Uconnect to disconnect from phone bluetooth when you open the driver door? It would also be very cool if Uconnect would allow a DashCommand or Torque app - this is possible on some other after market head units.

I always enjoy new communities and look forward to meeting those here.

Re: Ecodiesel specific PID's?

I am trying to use the DPF regen mode PID with torque, and I keep getting an invalid equation message. Just to clarify an I missing something?
({B:0}<1)+{B:1} And the OBD mode is 01 then PID# is 8b. What is the correct unit?

Thanks!

Re: Ecodiesel specific PID's?

DPF Mode is PID 018b,min 0,max 3,unit type:"mode", you have equation right:"({B:0}<1)+{B:1}"

I used it as an On/Off type display.

It looks like they changed something in the app so the old formula doesnt work. I now use just {B:0} and it works to show regens.
