I've experienced NO problems since then. I believe I had to pay out of pocket for the re-flash, maybe $150, but only regular maintenance since then.

Wow. Glad to hear it. How does the engine perform? Plan on keeping it longer?

We have a 14 Eco-diesel approaching 50k.. Other then the cat replacement early on, no issue and would by another one, unless I can't talk myself out of a new TrackHawks....;-)

I have one of the earliest built 14's with 62k. Besides the 2 Cats (last one was the improved cat), I've had no other problems. I have the 8yr/120k warranty.

Happy to hear about 100k and going strong! I'm at 32k on my 2014. After they replaced the CAT at 20k, no problems (knock on wood).

I cant stress enough how much I thank the GDE tune for my additional peace of mind though( with or without the whole delete ). I would honestly be leary of buying a 50K+ mile CRD that wasn't tuned / deleted due to my concern over soot build up and potential long term effects on cylinder heads etc. just my 2 cents and Im not a paid spokes person just a happy consumer .
What kind of roof rack do you have? Got a picture of the deflector?

I've been interested in the GDE tune as well. What "options" did you add? Engine breaking, etc? Trying to figure out what I would need. I haven't called them yet but will do soon. I have about 5k miles on my jeep so far. Thanks.

Unless you tow regularly and tow large trailers, I'm not sure the engine braking is worth it. I got the regen message indicator just as a nice reminder to let the regen finish completely. I wish I had gotten the high idle option the most. It wasn't available when I got my tune but I plan on having it reflashed to include that.

The engine has performed very well and yes, I plan on keeping this vehicle for quite a while.

Based on my driving habits I knew I would be putting close to 150,00 miles on it in a little over 3 years. That was one of the biggest reasons for purchasing the diesel. I would have purchased a lifetime warranty if it had been available but as we all know it was not. So I decided not to purchase the 8yr/120,000 and self-insure instead. I put back a couple of hundred dollars a month for major problems after the warranty and so far, there have been none.

I'm certainly not doing the happy dance yet but this vehicle has been as reliable and well built as any vehicle I've ever owned.

custom franken rack / roof basket with Thule bike channels on either side I fabbed up. I have a 3rd party generic basket with built in deflector mounted almost flush between RRO side rails so its sits low not up high like the traditional mounting way. No pics unfortunately.

I use the engine breaking feature regularly with my paddle shifters to down shift (from 6th speed down) and slow me down and it works pretty damn good vs stock down shift to slow down. You cant be hauling ass and expect it to bring you to a stop, but if using under normal operating speeds and on hilly secondary roads it saves your breaks quite a bit of stress. i really like the feature.
