akmikester,

What BT adapter are you using?
The cause is the automatic protocol scan that most adapters are set for.
It ends up transmitting garbage that our very sensitive JGC can bus does not like.
In Torque of the opening screen, go to settings, vehicle profile, edit: 2nd item from the bottom: Preferred OBD2 Protocol-set it to:
ISO 15765-4 CAN (11bit 500k baud)
SAVE - exit Torque and restart.
Depending on adapter you can also force the protocol with AT or ST commands thru a terminal program (ELM 327 terminal-for Android)
I have more details if you need.

AKM,

I also have the BAFX which I bought after I had serious issues with the OBD Link MX BT. New install, road trip with trailer in tow, stopped for fuel and food, after restarting the shifter service came up and then the whole Evic lit up, and I was not going anywhere.
Long story short, several reboots later I managed to get all the codes cleared and disconnected the OBD gizmo, everything lingered for a while, more reading and I ordered the BAFX.
BAFX worked ok until again the service shifter showed up, more googling and reading.
Now I use the OBD Link MX BT, with the settings in Torque and some ST commands for OBD protocol forced for good measures.
With all the sleep functions activated in Torque it has been working flawless, I do not have to disconnect it, everything comes up when I start the vehicle.. The same thing I wanted from my CTS paperweight.
