It would be nice to get the PWR but finances dictate otherwise, I can get the CB cooler and pipes for the same price as the PWR, I know the PWR is bigger, but I really think I will get alot more out of the pipes than the cooler.

That CB delete pipe is nice but of kit.

Keep us posted.

Cheers

Yeh I agree it was expensive but really good quality. I'm hoping to push this motor a bit eventually so biggest intercooler I can fit never hurts. Will start a build thread probably when my GC arrive this week hopefully as I have a fair few mods planned

Thanks for all the feedback and comments on my parts. If anyone has questions let me know.

I will be offering a larger stage 2 intercooler. I have built one of similar size and just getting ready to start testing shortly. Based on my experience and math my basic intercooler kit should more than enough for the stock turbo. I used to work in fluid dynamic research.

Looking forward to seeing your intercooler pipes eventually @tnadanzig. Ordered them a week ago but by the time they get to my freight forwarder and then over to Oz is going to be a while I would imagine.

Does anyone know other sources for a DPF delete bypass pipe in Canada or US?

I'm interested in your pipes and intercooler kit. I see it's supposed to reduce EGT, but I'm curious about the effect on the radiator and coolant since it is larger and sits in front of the radiator.

We drive a lot of steep grades at high altitude near max payload on our extended dry wilderness trips we do a couple times a year. About halfway up some of the grades, the coolant temperature climbs to the point that the thermostat opens all the way (near the top of the temp guage). We've never over heated or had it defuel (that we know of), but I do keep an eye on it.

The guys over at TFL Truck/Car had it defuel in their Ike Gauntlet max towing test (10 to 15 minute mark).
https://youtu.be/WRo4uNWCy5E

Would the better pipes and intercooler helped or hindered their towing test? Would their coolant/oil temps have been higher or lower?

For you guys with the CB pipe installed, what did you do with your sensors? Just remove them? I thought I saw somewhere on here there were connector caps offered by someone, but can't find that now. Also, if you get the pipe with the sensor bungs, what is the point of that? Won't the sensors just get coked up?

Re: EGR Blanking Plate, DPF Delete Kit and Intercooler with Piping Available

Regarding the Ike test. There is no mention of defueling during the run so was this discussed post test?
All I know is if you choose a road already at high altitude and run it foot to the floor and pass other vehicles that says a lot about the capability given max gross weight. Normal conditions this does very well. To make this useful love to see other SUVs similar hp...

At about 13:00 in the video, they have a sudden reduction in oil temperature as their speeds fall off with pedal to the floor. Under that load, they almost certainly defueled. Never discussed in the video. They're not very familiar with the vehicle and wouldn't realize that's what happened.

Will be looking at this intercooler when i pick up the intake replacement pipe in a couple of days. Dont think i would get any other intercooler as PWR was a local company down the coast and now supply transmission, power steering coolers to most motorsports here in Aus and overseas. Have used there radiators and intercoolers previously in other vehicles without any dramas.
Have convinced stu from Murchisons to supply a exhaust system to delete the rear mufflers on the eco diesels they just need my jeep for a day or so as i dont want a full system yet.
