Re: Engine Cover Part Number

Thanks. Made a cut in mine for my intercooler piping and not really happy so was seeing what I could be up for to get another one. Got a base price now so I can go to the wreckers and see what I can get maybe

Re: Engine Cover Part Number

Yeh CB. Some trimming was required at the front for the cold side and also the 2 front posts that the engine cover clip into need to be raised. I'll take a photo later when I'm at my car and show you. Also needed to remove some of the cloth noise dampener underneath the cover on the hot side.

Re: Engine Cover Part Number

I have the same pipes and his intercooler coming any time now... didn't think about the engine cover and that I would have to mod it. if you have any tips or advice or pics, send some love.

Re: Engine Cover Part Number

Here's what I did on the 2 front posts to lift the cover. You then have to cut a small recess out the front for the cold side intake pipe

Re: Engine Cover Part Number

just some simple spacers? good idea. I guess i'll probably figure out the part that needs to be cut out. just hate making mistakes! nothing like cutting something too much or wrong...
thanks, that gives me a little heads up on parts I can use.

Re: Engine Cover Part Number

Yeh they are just 6mm threaded rod couplers/joiners. You might call the them booker rod or all thread joiners.

I will take a photo of my cover tonight and show you where I cut/or not to cut from my mistake

Re: Engine Cover Part Number

There is a photo in my build thread with my pipes painted black. I don't have the CB intercooler, I have an Aus one still to fit

Dingo's Export Limited

The pipes could be fit without the removing the front bumper, but it is way easier as the bolt for the hose clamps on the factory intercooler are on the bottom so it is far easier to reach through the plastic air dams with the bumper off and also makes easier to do up the 2 new clamps for joiner provided by cb.
