Haha, exactly: there are no shortcuts here. Always confirm MS-11106, provided you like your DPF to work and your warranty intact.
Or, perhaps better yet, get an off-road tune, hack off the DPF and SCR, and run some of these other 5W30 oils that provide superior engine protection and also cost less. We're forced to use less protective engine oils in order to avoid giving our DPF the equivalent of human COPD (aka "ashing" the DPF).
Don't forget to thank the EPA for reducing your vehicle's life expectancy.
