Feeling Guilty About not buying this Jeep Diesel!

I reached my limit on the time constraint so I bought a HEMI® instead.

I had ordered the Diesel; it has since shown up and has yet to be sold.

So if your Looking for the Ultimate Overland 4x4 Diesel here's your chance:

New 2014 Jeep Grand Cherokee Tampa | New Jeep SUV 1C4RJFCM1EC298649

It's the same as mine below plus the Block Heater.

Down here in Florida they don't sell many 4x4's or Off-Road Packages. So why wait and order when what your looking for may be here in Florida.

Best way to get over feeling guilty is to make things right. The dealer should give you a good trade on your Hemi.

I actually remember 298649.

I was helping my buddy out, he got behind and this is one of the ones I worked on myself. (I don't work on the line but I help anybody out if I see them struggling to keep up) As part of the job, you have to check the VINs and since this one was a 3.0NAF, it just stuck in my brain.

Re: Feeling Guilty About not buying this Jeep Diesel!

Finding an Overland with ORAII at a dealer is a PAIN. I found one within a 300 mile search radius when I was looking for mine (and I bought it). Luckily it was the color scheme I wanted.

The thing about ORAII is that it never shows up under the vehicle options like Quadrive II, Adv Tech and the engine do. You literally have to look at the sticker.

I spent hours upon hours scoping out inventory on dealer websites within a 300 mile radius, Jeep's tool is horrible. The Jeep tool doesn't pick up the "in transit" vehicles for the most part. I think I found one or two TOTAL in my search, but EACH dealer's inventory usually showed from 2-4 in transit.

Re: Feeling Guilty About not buying this Jeep Diesel!

^^ Exactly. ^^

Ordering a Diesel and then abandoning her when she shows up. A man just shouldn't do that sort of thing!

What have you done to it and were the results noticeable?

My Jeep has been fitted with equipment to allow it to be towed behind a Motorhome. I needed her before the Diesel was ready. I simply was not willing to wait any longer. I could not take the stress; I took Delivery on October 8th.

I could not believe the Exact same car except an added CD player and lack of Block heater was sitting at my dealer. They ordered only one with ORAII and it had my black on black colors.

Then, right after I closed on the HEMI™ my neighbor filled his $100k Mercedes Diesel with Gasoline and started it. Hess stations use orange for diesel and not green, green is their gasoline pumps' color. I have had many diesels and have never come close to doing this. Regardless, I took it as a sign I did the right thing buying the HEMI™.

Previous diesels: '09 Jetta, '09 Allegro Bus(RV), '06 Beetle, '05 Excursion, '00 355D John Deere lawn Tractor.
Future Diesels: Many years from now after my Lifetime warranty expires on the Jeep. (Repair more than book value.)
