A 24mm is socket is what ya need. It fits it just right. Don't go crazy tightening it, about 20 foot pounds is it, a touch more than hand tight. I use a torque wrench.

Check that socket size again. Should be 27mm. Good Luck

My bad, I'm referring to my 3.6 Pentastar. Sorry for the mess up!

I use an 1 1/16" deep socket and it fits tight. Yah don't over tighten.

I didn't have a 27mm when I got my Jeep, so I bought this one: TEKTON 47779 1/2-Inch Drive by 27mm Shallow Impact Socket. I'm guessing pretty much any 27mm will work, but if someone wants to buy one that they can be confident works fine, then there you go.

I use it with my torque wrench and an extension. The working area is pretty narrow, so I find that the extension helps.

The filter is manufactured in South Korea. There have been some reports of the Aussies trying it, but that's about it. I've heard of aftermarket fuel filters failing miserably after less than 10000 miles.

Re: First oil change some info and comments

i will be running one of these filters on my next change in 4000 miles. I compared them against the current filter and some of my Mann and Mahle filters for my BMWs. I can
t detect any real difference and frankly the pricing for MOPAR is ridiculous given I pay about 7 bucks for my BMW 335 engine filters.
Maybe some other members have tried them but so far I am on my last of 4 factory filters meaning original plus 3.
Will report back once the next change is done with these filters regarding condition...

Anybody using the Fumoto quick drain valve on their oil pan with full factory skid plates? I'm wondering if it fits ok and if so is it fully protected by the plate?

It is. I just put it on. The factory skid plate has an opening for the oil pan to be drained out. The balance is recessed above the opening.
