Re: Fix for capless filler

Easy fix...the green Diesel ring pulls right off. This is a 2" rubber PVC cap. The metal clamp that goes with it slides right off. The fit is snug but not tight. ImageUploadedByJeepGarage1428691222.327904.jpgImageUploadedByJeepGarage1428691241.102039.jpg

I honestly think my 2015 has a bigger flange. Tried two different 2" pipe caps and both do not fit over the green piece or the metal one if I take the green piece out. Seems to be 2 1/4 or slightly bigger?

Fix for capless filler

For sure the ram one will not fit. Trust me guys. It's completely different. Same as ram 1500 vs hd Rams. They are different.

When I first start making the def plate. A customer actually bought me a ram1500 billet fuel cap. I test fitted it to the ram1500 and it fits ok. Tried to fit it to Ram hd and not close. I didn't even bother to try on our grand Cherokees because just looking at it it will no way fit.

I'll get this str8n out some time in the future( like I'm on it but my right hand man is racing boats in Switzerland right now lol).

Re: Fix for capless filler

Talked to dealer today, so asked if they could save the factory "plug" when they do PDI... hoping they remember to do.
I am hoping to use that temporarily, Or maybe the hornet lid if need be. Till Dom42 gets his sorted out.

Dom, if you need to test fit a 2015, I live in the area and can swing by any weekend. Just let me know. I already have your DEF plate (it was the first mod I did) and I will be purchasing one of your caps as soon as they are ready. :-)
