makes sense. The instantaneous torque from the shudder may be greater than the lockup clutch can handle...slip, grab, bottom out, defuel, repeat.

Got mine out of the shop on Saturday and Saturday night it still shutters. Not as much as it did but it is still there. :-(

Did you get the new TSB? If so, did they wipe the learning data and drive it to re-learn. If you aren't sure, you can pull fuse F60 in the engine compartment box for 30 minutes (or disconnect the battery) then follow the transmission learning procedure. I have the PDF document that outlines the driving pattern if you need it. Supposedly the critical clutch timing is learned in this process. The 5-6, 6-7 shifts are most critical....and coincidentally are where mine shuddered the most.

Mine improved from doing the relearn.
