For all of those having issues with their Trans

We need to band together and file complaints with the NHTSA. Jeep is gonna tip toe around this topic until they can finally figure out how to tune a TCM.

Here is the link to do so. https://www-odi.nhtsa.dot.gov/ivoq/

I don't know about everybody else... But I expect a 50k+ vehicle to perform flawlessly (for the most part).

Re: For all of those having issues with their Trans

Done.

I've dealt with regulatory agencies before. I would recommend that each complaint contain a detailed description of a specific incident that includes the following:

1. HOW THE SHUDDER AFFECTED DRIVABILITY.

2. HOW THE SHUDDER GOT WORSE WHEN MERGING IN TRAFFIC.

3. HOW THE SHUDDER WAS UNSAFE BY DISTRACTING THE DRIVER AND LIMITING THE ABILITY TO ACCELERATE.

4. HOW ONLY HARD ACCELERATION OR DECELERATING STOPS THE SHUDDER AND IS UNSAFE.

5. HOW THE SHUDDER PERSIST AFTER WARRANTY REPAIR ATTEMPTS.

Let's get Jeeps attention on this.

Do this for the DEF problem as well - I filed a complaint for that and then put that # in my new car survey with Chrysler.

Don't see how it's a safety item though....

It needs to be a safety item or it won't get the attention it deserves. If my wife was merging on the interstate in heavy traffic and the vehicle began shuddering violently, you would not want to be close to her! The first time my jeep did this, I had to hug the shoulder and come to a stop, then attempt to accelerate and merge again. It shuddered the second time so I pulled to the shoulder again. Third time I floored it and drove through the shudder and it quit when I let off at 60-65 mph. That isn't a safe driving habit!

Then you are not over reacting enough! You must learn to exaggerate every inconvenience into a life threatening event.

Yep....my point exactly. The squeeky (in this case faulty) wheel gets the oil. Especially true when dealing with gubment agencies!

What percentage of people are having this problem? My car has never shake'd or shuttered.

Just got the latest update.

The 2-1 down shift rear end thingy is completely gone and also trans just feels a lot smoother
