Re: For those who are thinking about Bluespark...

Just got my BS Pro with boost control today and installed. So simple it was almost difficult, if that makes sense.

ExcursionDiesel - looks like you've posted the most about your testing and like E7 the best? You still get good mileage and power? Any other bits of info you can share with the newbies would be awesome. I emailed them about a graph of sorts but no response yet.

Ok. Lil help. Have it on C9. Was going good. Cruised around for about 20 miles. Got off the highway heading home. Punched it. It pulled good then engine light came on flashed low battery and something about checking fuel system and completely shit down. Coasted into the nieghborhood. Unplugged the tuner. Plugged in stock plugs. Not getting anything. It's turning over but not firing. Any help. Stranded on the side of the road.

Maybe try disconnecting the battery for 10mins and see if everything resets?

You might have air in your fuel system. Make sure you didn't run out of fuel (no pun intended) then follow the procedure in the Diesel Supplement to prime the engine.

Did you get this resolved? I'm interested to see if bluespark had anything to do with it.

Re: For those who are thinking about Bluespark...

No resolution yet. Ended up having to have it towed to the dealer. And just my luck, no diesel mechanics working yesterday. Hopefully I will know more tomorrow. I'm guessing it's going to be a simple reflash or something. Something simple but beyond my capability. At least that's what I'm hoping for. Will keep you posted.

I would definitely disconnect the device and make no mention of it and see what they say. It may not be related to the device, but if you mention using anything third party you may get stuck with the bill regardless.

Re: For those who are thinking about Bluespark...

Looks like this will be a good test of whether the system logs info that can detect one of these devices. I think there is no doubt they will plug it in to see what codes occurred and what ever else they can look at.

I have read opinions on both sides and they all sound to be a reasonable view on why or why not there is some form of logging or tracking. I work in IT support and see how easy it is to get a hold of data without it being known to the user so I kind of lean to the side that says it could be tracked. But I will admit I have no knowledge as to what data it might log that would show that you used a device.

you don't have your own OBDII scanner capable of reading your vehicle and clearing codes? I broke down on a road trip without an OBDII scanner and now I keep one in the vehicle at all times.
