Yes, I will have a DPF/SCR delete probably long before the tuning is ready.

I wish we could get EFIlive for our Jeeps, but I don't see that happening in a million years. There are companies that make tuning software for the vehicle already, just need to fork out the cash. Its a Bosch EDC17C79 ECU.

Well the ECM is decompiled and has been mapped out. If my Jeep buyback comes thru before I get done I will be done with this platform and leave it to Nick at duramax tuner. I can't stand to drive this lemon pos anymore, the shudder thru the power train makes me not want to drive it anymore. Getting back into a duramax.

And anybody can get the data off the ecm if they want. Alientech and a bench harness.

not sure if you've tried this yet, but a lot of people are coming back with dramatically positive results from the most recent TCM/ECM flash.

Is this done at the dealer?

yes, dealer only flash. Took me about an hour and a half 2 weekends ago from drop off to pickup including a quick carwash. I had 3 flashes to do, if you're up to date and only have the latest TCM flash, then it could be quicker.

Yeah, the 27 August TSB transmission flash substantially turned down the suck on my transmission too. Everyone should get that one done. Preferably *without* having the visor recall done (haha).

Damn. I know some owners actually have transmission hardware problems as well. I had hoped that a ZF transmission built by ZF instead of Chrysler would be reliable on this platform. Given how mine slammed shifting from 2-1 for a few days before the flash, I wouldn't be surprised if it could result in damage over a longer term.

Or maybe you got a lemon.

Either way, sorry to hear. I know I would be beyond upset if mine had factory hardware defects and I had to force a buyback... this machine has exactly the specs and features I wanted.

Thanks for sharing your hacks/findings with the community before you get rid of the vehicle.

I bet you have a defective valvebody. Has Chrysler offered to replace the valvebody? A few others had bad shuddering and that fixed it.
