GC Diesel actual payload stickers

Looking to see what the real world Tire Loading and Payload stickers (driver's door frame) are.

What is your sticker's payload?
Trim and major options make a difference. Name them please.

I am looking at a diesel Limited 4 WD with no sunroof most likely.

My 27' travel trailer (1966 Avion) has about a #700 tongue weight (includes a ProPride hitch) and the trailer is about #5,000 (actual weights - CAT scale) not factory "guesstimates"!

Am I hoping too much here.....?

And, I don't need advice on axle ratings and how the stickers are BS....

Thanks!

Re: GC Diesel actual payload stickers

Have 2014 limited diesel 4x4 without a sunroof, with off-road I, trailer tow and navigation. Mine is rated for 6800# with 18x8 wheels. I pull a all-aluminum 7x16 wedge nose(7x19) that weighs 1990#, and has 2014 Polaris Ranger 6x6 inside that weighs 2560#(w/accessories). Real world mileage is a respectable 16mpg @ 65mph(7th gear). I am manually shifting gears too.

Re: GC Diesel actual payload stickers

Additionally - what are the limits on everyone's hitch? (should be a sticker on it)

Normally there are two values, on for no weight distributing, one with.

Thanks!

6800 pounds is what the door sticker says.

Believe that payload should be closer to #1,100 ??

"payload", not towing capacity.

Due to trailer tongue weight, you will run out of payload before the always optimistic trailer capacity.................

#6,800 sounds to be the max trailer weight.

Thanks,

GAWR REAR: 3700 lb

Re: GC Diesel actual payload stickers

My door sticker says the same thing (6800/3200/3700).

I have a 4x4 limited w Lux II, Blu-ray, Trailer pkg IV, uConnect 8.4AN.

The B Pillar sticker has the payload on my JGC... it reads "The combine weight of occupants and cargo should never exceed 1050 lb".

Re: GC Diesel actual payload stickers

Thanks folks.

A #1,000 or so payload may make it a "no go".

Might not be enough buffer as the trailer tongue weight is part of "payload".

BTW:

GVWR does not equal payload.

GVWR less curb weight of vehicle will get you close to payload.
(could be other limitations involved)

The "yellow" sticker has the payload for your specific vehicle listed.

Guess I will wait and see what the Nissan XD diesel (Cummins) allows..............

Re: GC Diesel actual payload stickers

if the payload is 1100Lbs and you have 3x200lb people and you have a tongue weight of 700lbs then you are over your load capacity by 200lbs

Yep

Or, 2 adults and baggage / gear (though it can go in the trailer)

Hence the "squeeze". I can hit right at limits with nothing beside 2 passengers and some gear inside, but I prefer a buffer........

Lots of folks pulling travel trailers / trailers and over payload on the tow vehicle. (1/2 ton pickups especially, yikes!) I try to not be in that group though.

Really would like to have a tow vehicle that fits in a "regular" garage though........trade-offs / decisions / and $$.

Any data from the hitches themselves as far as tongue weight limitations?
