Glow plugs going bad

My 2014 Overland with 23k is at the dealer now for glow plug replacement.

My glow plug indicator would flash about 70 percent of the time sometimes not go off and the MIL was on for a couple weeks. Truck drove and started fine.

Service advisor told me the code was not "active", but they are replacing them as well as the glow plug module.

Anyone else had this issue?

Re: Glow plugs going bad

My Glow Plug indicator light and engine light has been coming on and off intermittently. What was the outcome of your repair?

Just so we are on the same page, the Glow Plug indicator light is the yellow curly pig tail symbol that is on the bottom center left of the EVIC. Thanks for your input in advance.

Re: Glow plugs going bad

Had the glow plug module replaced after replacing one glow plug didn't help on our 2008 CRD at fairly low mileage (maybe around 30,000 miles?) No problems yet on our 2014 with 53,000 miles.
