Is there any online way to check if your vehicle needs any flashes? I guess my largest concern having a 2014 is this new cylinder head issue. I don't have any symptoms, I wonder if the GDE tune would help stave that off not requiring new heads?
We would expect the GDE tune to eliminate the cylinder head valve sticking issue as the engine produces 80% less soot vs. stock with our tune. Thus there should be minimal buildup on the valve stem.

Nothing to report on flash tool availability for the GDE tuning. The tool manufacturer gave us a 3 year wait for having a functioning flash tool, maybe earlier if they have a breakthrough. We are not holding our breath on this one.

If that is the case are you open to the idea of posting a purchased ECM overseas.

Cheers

You can buy an ECU from Green Diesel with the tune on it.

GDE, when the new rrt and other pcm updates happen do you get the latest stock code and tweak from there?

Yes. We try to stay current with our tuning to the latest Chrysler release. This is time consuming to port the tune over, but is minimizes potential of dealer reflash.

Yikes, 3 years? That's one heck of a wait time, and I'm worried about being stranded with a dead jeep, chipped ECU and no warranty... not sure I can swallow all of that.

While it certainly could void certain aspects of the power train warranty, it's pretty certain no dealer would detect your tune. There certainly isn't a crack team of FCA investigators at each dealer trying to detect tuned vehicles.

I would also like to know the answer to this as I am lead to believe that GDE cannot service the Australia market......

Cheers, Craig

GDE is not servicing the export market on the 3.0l VM engine at this time.

No ETA on this. We are waiting for a flash tool to be functional for the export market.
