Re: green diesel engineering tune

I would second the kudos to GDE and CB engineering. Their products are second to none. I'm extremely impressed with the fuel economy with the combo......simply amazing considering these are heavy all wheel drive bricks driving down the road.

Re: green diesel engineering tune

Pulled the trigger on the tune last night. Can anyone tell me where I need to look for these injector codes that gde needs? The have a close up picture of it on their site but no frame of reference where it is. Under the hood somewhere? Under the truck? Stupid question, I know.

Re: green diesel engineering tune

keith from gde sent me a photo of where its located. open hood, to the left side just below the engine cover, it will be facing you. behind one of the hoses that come from radiator. its a little bit of a b****, i had to push back my hose and put phone down carefully to snap a pic. really easy to find, but hard to take a pic.

Re: green diesel engineering tune

Thanks, did they need all 3 numbers or just the top one? Like you, had a hard time getting picture of all 3.

Re: green diesel engineering tune

Haha, I know huh? Not the most convenient place. I took a pic of all 3. It took me three times and some persuasion. As far as what numbers? I figured better safe than sorry, gave him all 3. Also ordered the intercooler kit from cb engineering and a drop in dry afe air filter. I will be purchasing the full exhaust from cb engineering as soon as he finishes the cat back part. I figured since I was going to get a tune I might as well get an extra ecm so when I get the rest of the components I can send the extra tuned ecm back to gde without any downtime. Good luck

Re: green diesel engineering tune

For the injector bar codes, it can be a bit difficult to get a good picture. There should be two labels on the injection pump cover attached to the front of the engine. The injector codes are actually on the bottom label, these are the two longer bar codes.

At least the ecm is easier to remove on the WK vs. the Ram

Are you currently working on any new tweeks for this engine? I know a while back you said "more to come with future updates" I believe this was after the last update. Thanks.

Re: green diesel engineering tune

I tried, and failed, to find a source of information for what they're changing to the tune. It would appear that it is an ever evolving product though as there have already been several adjustments and tweaks over the first 6 months of it being available.

Re: green diesel engineering tune

Has anyone with the tune noticed a hard shift into 2nd only when the car is cold? Mine started doing this right after swapping ecu's. It's not violent, just noticeable and only if it's cold. GDE, if you're reading this is there anything in your tune that could cause this? Got it in Dec'15.
