I believe member "Tree Guy" wins as he has somewhere over 78,000 miles on his '14. If memory serves he manages Tree farms in 4 different states.

Re: Highest mileage 2014 that has never had a P20EE/SCR cat issue?

Build date 11/13. Took delivery 5/12/14. Mileage is 32,810. It's a work car. Two trips from VA to Rockies, two trips from VA to California.

No check engine lights, no cat issues, no codes period. Always serviced by dealer, only used non-Chrysler DEF once. All current flashes (to my knowledge) and TSBs done by dealer.

I hope I'm not jinxing myself. My previous 8 work "cars" were F-250 diesels. I don't need a truck. I never tow, seldom haul anything, so I figured why not get something smaller. The only reason I wanted a diesel is that I drive 50K-60K miles a year for work.

Honestly, if Ford had a small diesel engine in the F-150 or Explorer, I probably would have gone in that direction. However, I could not be happier with this Jeep.

Re: Highest mileage 2014 that has never had a P20EE/SCR cat issue?

Today I joined the CAT bad club. 24K miles almost all highway. Seems like it is time for a recall for out 14's.
Will post details later.....

Re: Highest mileage 2014 that has never had a P20EE/SCR cat issue?

Feb 2014 build GC Limited - 36,000 miles with no issues other than an "incorrect DEF" message at about 7,000 miles that was corrected with a flash update. I have used only Mopar DEF installed by the dealer with each oil change. We recently returned from a 11,000 round trip to Alaska pulling a 21 foot travel trailer. We had one scare on the emissions control front. After two days of driving around 6 hours per day on rough back roads at low speeds, I got an EVIC message that said "regeneration in process. Continue driving". I had never seen this before and, based on other reports in this forum, was afraid the next message would be a warning to get to a dealer or the car won't restart -- and at this point in the trip, we were 500 miles from a dealer! But I did keep driving when I got the message, which then went off after 5 minutes or so, and it never appeared again. So I think it was a normal message resulting from so much driving under conditions that did not allow a regen.

Re: Highest mileage 2014 that has never had a P20EE/SCR cat issue?

Still have not had any codes or cat problems, but when I got my oil changed a couple of weeks ago at just over 61,000 the shop foreman told me there was a recall to replace the cat.

After they installed the new cat, he told me that there was a "big crystal" of DEF inside the exhaust around the DEF injector. He said there wasn't a lot of detail about the reason for the replacement, but said that there was a question about corrosion of the catalyst, apparently due to the DEF.

I've made 3 more long trips out west since my previous post, with no problems. Still getting about 30 mpg, except for the strong head and cross winds that I had to deal with in April. Knocked the mileage down to 22 on the way out.
