inconsistent DEF level

Anyone else have a DEF level that makes jumps back and forth?
On a 1000 mile drive last week the DEF level sometimes would be about 10% different when I periodically checked it. The level was about 30% at the start, then read about 20%, then 30%, then 20%, ... It changed about six times over 16 hours of driving (two days). It did something similar a few months ago.

Re: inconsistent DEF level

Mine seems pretty consistent, but I just glance at it on occasion to see how it's doing.

Re: inconsistent DEF level

It has a very slow update that averages the level with an ultrasonic level sensor. If you sit on an incline for a while, it could read low or high for a while before refreshing the value.

Re: inconsistent DEF level

My numerical % gauge has been stuck on 100% since my first DEF add at 8500 miles. However, the scale gauge works.

There is no numerical gauge. The 100% is a label showing you where is the top of the graphical gauge.

Re: inconsistent DEF level

Maybe I am getting old, but I could swear that value changed early on.

Re: inconsistent DEF level

Yep...getting old...lol. I thought the same thing at first. But alas...the 100% is just a fixed label. The bars indicate the level.
