My pump was bad...just don't know if it failed due to the DEF injector blockage or on its own.

The tech performed a flow test. After DEF line inspection, that is the first test to do do with a P20EE code. If it fails, it's the pump, line, or injector.If it passes, it's the CAT, the pre-SCR NOx sensor, or post-SCR NOx sensor.

I never got the ease of removal info. It looks easy enough. Maybe that's why the DEF injector is so exposed?!

Yep....or whenever we first get a P20EE. It'll let you know when it's time.

Additionally, I'd like to know what the DEF flow per minute is direct from the DEF line while removed from the injector. That would test for tank, line, and pump health.

Just drove 100 miles with no CEL! I think it's fixed.

Other than the CEL itself, was there any warning that something wasn't right with your system? Did the pump just die? Did it make any noise before failing?

6000 miles on the odometer in eastern Virginia (Zone 8?) with a week of 80-90 degree weather when I had my problem. Tank was 2/3 after adding a fresh gallon the day prior.

I never had any performance issues or mechanical indications. Other than CELs reoccuring with random frequency leading up to the no restart message a few days later, it ran perfect. My issue is chronicled in this thread.
