This is a major headache due to the amount of Jeep Diesels on the road.

Have those that have had the catalyst replaced with the "new design" stopped having problems?

Good question.

Do the 2015's have the new catalyst, or are they still using the problem prone units?

Have about 1000 Miles on replacement CAT with Software REV "D" ("E" is current)
No CEL , but don't think 1000 miles is a good test. need some more on it.

I guess the 2015 has the exact same system as the 2014 then. I wonder what's in store for 2016.

Incorrect DEF - See dealer

No problems after 2,000 miles on a new CAT. however, since my last oil change and DEF refill at the dealer, my DEF indicator still shows 100% after 1800 miles. There are now two recalls I've been notified on but waiting for parts (a theme here). When i take it in for those I'll have them look at the DEF indicator as well.

While i still love this vehicle it has had more issues in the first year than my last three or four cars put together. I guess that is the price of being an early adopter. I'm sure too that the current difference between diesel and gas prices has all but killed new diesel car sales.

I had the most recent flash update done yesterday, this morning my CEL came on for the forth time! Pulled the codes to verify and I'm getting P2BA9 and P20EE, guess I'll be making another appointment for this B.S., so frustrating.

I was PROMISED by the service manager and 2 others at my dealer that the current flash would solve all of the emissions code issues. I wasn't surprised when the MIL light came on the day after I picked it up (he felt about an inch tall)! Computer program can not "fix" a mechanical problem. So on the 5th visit they finally replaced the Cat on mine. I told them the 2nd time I took it in for the P20EE code to replace the NOX sensor and the Cat.

Yeah, based on everything I've read here I knew my Issue wasn't resolved with another flash so can't say I was too surprised by the recurring CEL, I don't understand why they don't just follow the TSB regarding the P20EE code which makes it pretty clear that further diagnosis/repair is required.

I actually think Chrysler is requiring all prior TSB's to be done before they even consider replacing the catalyst. It is an experiment to see which Jeep's are fixed via the software update... It is all about money.

My CEL will come on every 60 miles or so and currently at the dealership for a week now.

Agreed, they are trying to minimize their costs. The result though is a lot of jeeps qualifying as lemons under various state laws (mine included)

I would think you would change the CAT first before you declare the vehicle a lemon. Wouldn't that be cheaper from the company's perspective than buying back thousands of vehicles.

For the record, I'm crossing my fingers and hoping the new SCR Cat that delayed delivery (supposedly) of my CRD is the solution.
