I'm just glad that they didn't beat around the bush again relative to the CAT replacement. That said, at least I know it'll all be done when the new CAT is in place.
Yes, I agree, can't wait for it to be behind...

They put me in an explorer rental so not bad but it's no SFU. Hopefully crysler wakes up to the issue at some point and picks up the pace on these replacement parts.
Yeah, I'm guessing it'll be a good month that my car (and yours) will be down before the new CATs come in. Hope you like the Explorer. The Explorer Sport was my runner up car (don't know if they gave you the Sport or not).

We had a 200S for two days, and requested a 4x4. Wife just picked up a brand new loaded up JGC limited with a V6. They said they would have given it to us when we picked up the 200, but it wasn't in yet. Oh well, glad to have it.

Re: Incorrect DEF - See dealer

So from what I'm reading you can drive with this p20ee for a long time.

What happens to get you to a no drive condition and can no longer drive until CAT replaced? The CAT completely fails?

This part has been on backorder for a few months reading the various posts. At what point will they have enough stock to address clearly a common issue :S

Update. Just got a call from my Service Manager - apparently the part is here. He said the a Chrysler service rep was at the dealer yesterday looking at my car, and made the request to get the part himself. Service Manager said they were surprised to see the part there today. It is the updated part number.

Said the car may be done this afternoon. Wow.

Read my post above. I'm not sure it's on total back order now. Hard to say.

That said, my Service Manager recommended against driving it. He told me he didn't want to strand me when the part actually failed. I see logic in that...that even if you COULD drive it, should you? If they throw a loaner at you, why not?

My sister had her CAT replaced yesterday. Time will tell if this actually corrects her issue or not.

Re: Incorrect DEF - See dealer

I got the "Incorrect DEF Message" and the CEL came on today. Vehicle has 9300 miles.

Background...dealer did the oil change two days ago. After that, I got home an added one gallon of Mopar DEF I received with the car back in late July 2014 and was stored inside the house in the pantry. (Expiration date for the Mopar DEF showed April-16.) I also went to Wally World (Walmart) and purchased 2.5 gal of Peak Blue which I also added. DEF level showed it at 3/4 full approximately.

I will be going to the dealer...I sincerely doubt the error message "Incorrect DEF" is correct assessment of the problem.

What says the brain trust here?

Re: Incorrect DEF - See dealer

Wow. Must be something in the air/water/def? I've never run anything but mopar DEF. Just had oil change 2 months ago and DEF Tank topped up at dealer. Sunday afternoon first check engine light comes on at 22k km. incorrect DEF. Take it in Monday. Dealer orders CAT and says it's fine to drive for now. I pick it up and get 20 mins into my drive light comes on and says 320km till shutdown. Drive back to dealer and there she stays. I'm in a loaner JGC but it's a base Laredo. Current arrival of my part is March 12. This sucks.

Re: Incorrect DEF - See dealer

Took it to the dealer this morning...Service Writer mentioned that she was aware of the RRT (?) for the PCM and that would likely "fix" the CEL and also address other "known" issues. I asked about the redesigned cats but she said they've never replaced one yet in the CRD JGCs.

Got the vehicle back in about four hours or so...code was something different about "reactant not at proper level" or something like that...now we wait.

Re: Incorrect DEF - See dealer

I'm sitting at about a month waiting on the part. My service rep isn't too bright or helpful. Last time I called, he suggested I keep calling to see if the part is in yet. I'm pretty sure that's your job.

So I wait while rolling with the P20EE code...and I have noticed that my MPGs have suffered since I had it in last time.

Hmmm. Try another dealer? Not sure if that's a reasonable option for you. Also, I'd give Chrysler a call. I'd recommend they look into the fact that others are getting parts much faster (me, for instance...but I'm not sure why).

Definitely not YOUR job to keep calling about the part. And, I think if they wanted to, they could do a lot more leg work. Guess I lucked out with my service manager.

Sorry to hear about your delays...

So I'm trying to understand the flash updates they are doing (Rev E for example and comments about MPG). Is this something temporary until the CAT is replaced and you then go back to a previous update?

Or is Rev E the latest and even new builds would ship with this update going forward?
