Re: infotainment center issues

All good here but with something as sophisticated as an audio visual computer in your dash, I'm sure there are defective units out there.

That sucks. I hesitate to mention this because I loathe the abysmal voice recognition on our platform and don't want to inflict misery on a fellow human, but were you aware that you can control the cabin temp, radio, navigation, etc, via voice?

Might help while you wait for your replacement unit.

Is the voice recognition seperate from Uconnect? I thought it was all integrated via Uconnect.

If the screen is simply erratically going blank, it's possible everything else is fully functional. It's worth a shot.

Re: infotainment center issues

I had something like this happen once. The screen went blank and the head unit rebooted while driving. When it came back on line, an error in the EVIC appeared saying I needed to service the adaptive headlights. When I stopped, shut down the vehicle for a few minutes, and then restarted, the head unit booted up normally and the error went away. Haven't seen a problem since. If you are getting constant reboots, you might want to try reinstalling the system software.

You still should have control of the HVAC via the buttons below, I would think..thats the most important thing ....

It just depends on the system design. If I recall correctly, there is a reboot function in the Engineering Menu. A simple test would be to reboot while the vehicle is running and adjust the temperature up and down during early boot up to see if it responds.
