Intercooler Pipe Shielding -????

Always tinkering !!!

Does or has anyone tried heat shielding on Diesel Turbo intercooler pipes and if so does it work ???

Just waiting for my new OBD dongle my old one kept setting off a Transmission Shifter Alarm , going to do it anyway just wanted to see if anyone else has tried it on the diesel.

Cheers

Re: Intercooler Pipe Shielding -????

Hi,
It would be interesting to get a sense of the temperature of the induction air, then compare with the ambient under-bonnet when in operation .. I suspect that there is not much to gain with the shielding..

I brought one of these scanners and it works reliably with the diesel

Interesting - and off topic. My OBD dongle also caused a shifter error. Not having the dongle inserted when I start the engine seems to prevent the error.
